The function of the Project Manager is to support the Program Manager and other Project Managers in planning and execution of program elements. This position is responsible for monitoring, managing, and coordinating cross-functional projects by sharing information and resolving problems to meet objectives. This role is expected to create plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager will also help develop proposals to support the program.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Program Manager on projects and contract proposals requested by the customer.
Collaborate and assist with development of project plans and manage resources to ensure project or proposal cost, schedule, and performance (quality) are achieved to meet commitments.
Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and present results to the project management team and/or management.
Interact with internal and external stakeholders at various levels concerning projects.
Contribute to the development of new business opportunities on the program and expansion of existing business opportunities.
Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures that impact the assigned project.
Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.
Identify and assess project issues and develop recommendations for solutions to meet program commitments and customer objectives.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ensure work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least three of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must have a thorough understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
Ability to initiate, plan and manage projects.
Identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of complex issues.
Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience working independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of direct experience with contract support and developing contract proposals is preferred.
Familiarity with contract proposal estimating procedures and tools is desired.
Ability to work with financial information and calculations is preferred.
Ability to take a wholistic view and see the broader picture of how proposals and projects impact the business and customer's mission.
