Precise Systems is seeking an experienced Technician to support the Vertical Launch System (VLS) Equipment Engineering Branch at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). The tasking supports efforts for the following NSWC PHD customers: United States Navy; Allied Nations (NATO); Consortium Nations; and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The Individual must have MK41 VLS Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and experience in tasks related to technical documentation, training support, and technical assistance.
Duties:
Provide Technical Documentation support including writing/redlining VLS Operation and Maintenance manuals and specifications
Provide training support including developing VLS training materials, VLS designing training programs, and delivering effective VLS training sessions
Responsible for tracking all parts and materiel orders and maintaining a log with all relevant details
Provide technical Assistance support including providing VLS SME support to VLS operators, helping them troubleshooting issues, resolve problems, and answering technical questions
Responsible that all required government forms (DD1149, etc.) are properly completed and distributed.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience:
At least ten (10) years of experience working with all facets of the MK41 VLS
Mechanical/Electrical technical background
Leadership experience is a plus but not required
Expert knowledge of the MK41 VLS
Experience in tasking related to technical documentation, training support, and technical assistance
Basic computer skills: Operating Systems; File Management; Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Online Communication, etc., and uses a computer effectively to perform common tasks.

Ability to work independently with little to no direction
High degree of self-motivation
Excellent team player.
This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
