Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cyberspace Transport Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to perform integrated, multidisciplinary assessments that assess survivability of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets.
Blue Team assessments teams aim to ensure continuity to DoD missions and critical infrastructure by assessing the vulnerabilities and survivability of these infrastructure against a broad spectrum of threats including accidents, natural disasters, technological failure, information system attacks, terrorists, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
This challenging and exciting work will provide you the opportunity to travel CONUS and OCONUS to the most important DoD defense systems and critical infrastructure to ensure the survivability of any threat or attack. This is an exciting opportunity to experience traveling to destinations around the world and protecting mission-critical infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Identify all aspects of communications-related (i.e., DoD data voice networks, transmission systems, Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), and other DoD and Commercial terrestrial and satellite communications systems and networks) vulnerabilities.
- Increase the customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts of communications on mission execution capability and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.
- Perform vulnerability assessments on communications using computer networks, industrial control systems, radio, wireless, and other communication systems.
- Review security measures to include intrusion detection and prevention, software and system security protection through application of secure design protocols and reverse engineering, and data assurance.
- Assess communications infrastructure that support installation voice, data, video, radio, electronic security, and industrial control systems/networks
- Identify threats/hazards that could affect the mission's communications architecture and using this data to assess the vulnerability and risk to these assets
- Perform single-point critical node analysis of an installation's telecommunications, other communications systems, computer networks including supporting infrastructure (security, power, heating-ventilation-air conditioning, fuel, fire protection, etc.) Provide recommendations to remediate or mitigate system vulnerabilities due to terrorist, manmade, and natural incidents
- Review Communication plans, Defense Continuity Plans, and other associated plans and provide feedback to improve the documents
- Prepare Assessment Team Reports based upon vulnerabilities observed during the assessment
- Conduct other assessment areas defined by the Subject Matter Expert Benchmark matrix
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the military, other Federal Government, or comparable civilian position in Cyberspace operations
- Must be able to travel up to 20%
- Must have a Valid US Passport
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field, preferred; operational experience can serve as a substitute for degree requirement.
- Must have Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range:
