The qualified applicant will provide on-site support in Colorado Springs, CO to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Multi-Domain Sensing Program (MDSP). The applicant will provide expertise on space-based overhead persistent infrared (OPIR) systems and with conducting force design analysis for the Missile Warning, Tracking and Defense (MWTD) Mission Area. This includes defining analysis scope, developing architectural options, parametrizing the trade space, conducting concept trade studies and assessments to include scenario-based evaluations, and preparing analysis status, results, and recommendations for General Officer-level senior leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist MWTD Division Chief with managing the technical aspects of all assigned force design work
- Provide recommendations for designing and conducting large-scale technical analysis at the enterprise and system levels
- Collaborate and coordinate on force design technical efforts with multiple external agencies and stakeholders
- Identify deficiencies and shortcomings in planned or ongoing force design analysis and provide options for fixing them
- Integrate outputs from multiple working groups and technical disciplines into clear analytic results and recommendations
- Document and communicate interim and final technical findings and results in a clear manner that is understandable to senior-level decision makers
- Actively participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and technical exchanges
Required Skills:
- 10+ years technical experience with space systems
- Technical understanding and experience with OPIR space and ground systems
- Experience with space design, architecture, and/or system development
- Experience conducting technical analysis, force design studies, or Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
- Understanding of Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) requirements and system implementation
- STEM advanced degree
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility, ability to be cleared for SAP, and be able to successfully pass a Counter-Intelligence polygraph. A current (within five years) polygraph is highly desired
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to understand complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audience
- Ability to quickly create decision-quality materials for senior leaders
- Ability to apply critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environments
- Ability to travel as needed

Salary Range:
