Lead Data Center Specialist

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Data Center Specialist to join our team! This role demands a seasoned professional with advanced technical expertise, and the successful candidate can anticipate an attractive compensation package and benefits reflective of their qualifications.
Our client has identified several critical areas for enhancement within one of the existing Traffic Management Center Building. A comprehensive review and study need to be carried out to evaluate its suitability as a traffic operations center facility, including IT equipment rooms on multiple floors, in alignment with Tier-III data center requirements. Specifically, we require specialists in Tier-III data center design, relocation, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure migration.
What you will be doing:
Serve as a key liaison with clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring the seamless integration of ITS solutions and design delivery.
Provides data center expertise in the fulfilment of contracted scope of work.
Provides professional consulting services to clients in development / migration of data center solutions.
Proven history of successfully interacting with customers, delivering solutions which meet customer expectations, and improving customer satisfaction
Strong knowledge of the data center services business and delivering industry leading operational and environment management practices and procedures within Tier IV or Tier III classified data centers
Recent successful experience in managing co-location data center services and operations
Specialized training in data center service delivery management and operational standards
Strong local market knowledge (UAE)
Develops, documents and implements data center policies, working practices and control procedures for internal and external resources working in an active data center
Ensures and verify that all data center operational, environmental, and quality standards and certifications are being implemented and maintained.
Ensures and verify that service delivery is being maintained in accordance to the client Service Level Agreements.
Development of the Data Center design. Manages and implement data center construction activities, certifying results in a commissioning Report of Record.
Develops gap analyses, recommendations and action plans in a consulting role to data center executive leaderships and managers.
Evaluation of CRAC units’ performance
Room integrity for FM200 (Clean Agent System)
Power supply requirements to be verified
Ensure that capacity is available that matches current and future requirements for, among others, Racks, Structured Cabling, etc.
Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Data Center for gaps, expandability and reasons for not expanding the existing data center.
Review contract specifications, implementation methodology, and standards, identifying gaps and making recommendations for improvements.
Develop a comprehensive project plans and cost estimates.
Collaborate with other subject matter experts from other projects, fostering cooperation and sharing knowledge and experience.
Responsible for direct coordination and follow up with the clients and stakeholders to identify requirements and finalize project scope. Make necessary presentations, reports to present progress and milestones.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field. However, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Communication / Computer Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD®) preferred.
Knowledge of Tier-III data center design, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure migration.
Migration and Consolidation of Data Centers.
Knowledge of Uptime institute.
Extensive experience in data center with a focus on Evaluation of Tier-3 + design, etc.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in data center operational/ design management working with national or international organizations in the context of data center services. Experience of working in a Data Center is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of ITIL, IT Infrastructure, Virtualization, Storage, Networks (Active & Passive).
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and present technical information to diverse audiences.
