Job Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance mechanics, and leading reliability program initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Develop schedules, sequences, and assignments for mechanic work activities
Develop, implement, maintain and improve the equipment reliability program
Monitor employee work levels and review work performance
Monitor tool and part inventories, and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions
Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare incident reports
Recommend or initiate personnel actions, including hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
Compile operational and personnel records, including time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results
Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures
Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies
Examine equipment, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use
Lead and participate as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team
Any other task assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance and repair, including prior experience in a maintenance leadership position
Knowledge: Must have a full understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); equipment reliability practices; and maintenance processes
Skills/Abilities:
Must demonstrate good leadership and people skills
Ability to plan, schedule and review the work and performance of subordinates
Capable of handling a crew of skilled craftsmen
Ability to handle the stress of dealing with multiple tasks at once
Ability to make decisions quickly during crisis situations
Computer literate and able to work within a Microsoft Windows environment
Education/Certification: High school diploma required. College, technical or trade program education is a plus.
Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes; hazardous equipment and materials
May wear Specialized Protective or Safety Equipment such as Breathing Apparatus, Safety Harness, or Full Protection Suits
May be exposed to high places including spending time climbing ladders or scaffolds
May spend time kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling
