HII Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT) is seeking a FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing FPGA-based solutions for cutting-edge projects in various domains, including signal processing.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based solutions for digital signal processing (DSP) applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into efficient FPGA designs
Develop and integrate communication and high-speed interface logic into FPGA designs
Perform simulations, verification, and testing of FPGA designs
Optimize FPGA designs for performance, power consumption, and resource utilization
Provide technical support and documentation for FPGA designs
Minimum Qualifications
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Proficient in VHDL or Verilog HDL coding for FPGA designs
Strong knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques and algorithms
Experience with communication protocols and high-speed interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe, SerDes)
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
CLEARANCE: Secret clearance to start
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with Matlab/Simulink for building block designs and converting them to HDL
Knowledge of PCB design principles and practices related to FPGA implementation
Familiarity with FPGA development tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus Prime)
Experience with FPGA-based video processing or image processing applications
Understanding of embedded systems and microprocessor/microcontroller interfacing
Physical Requirements
Office or industrial environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
