Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Technical Analysis and Coordination: Conduct signal timing studies, analyze traffic and rail / tram flow data, and design signal configurations that address specific operational needs and safety requirements.
- Signal Integration Design: Optimize Road intersections, ensuring smooth and safe transitions between Rail / Tram and Road Signals.
- Project Management: Lead and manage signal integration projects, including planning, design, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
- Safety and Compliance: Perform risk assessments and ensure designs meet regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and operational requirements for both road and rail / tram signaling systems.
- System Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of integrated signaling systems, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and troubleshoot any issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, rail / tram and road authorities, and other stakeholders to align on project requirements and resolve design challenges.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documents, project reports, and maintenance plans, ensuring clear and thorough documentation of all signal integration work.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support on integrated signaling systems, ensuring effective troubleshooting and long-term system reliability.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Hands-on Experience with advanced traffic signal controllers, adaptive signal control technologies, and multi-modal integration Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and advanced signaling technologies.
- Experience in large infrastructure projects involving complex signal integration between multiple modes of transportation.
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems and practices in signaling.
- Proficiency in signal design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and traffic control systems (e.g., SCATS).
- Proficiency in system integrations integration special within ITS, for road and rail / tram traffic.
- Strong knowledge of programming Traffic signal controller / PLC
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices for rail / tram and road signal engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification in signal engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in rail and/or road signal engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in integrated signaling solutions.
