Job Description:
The Digital Information Coordinator will play a crucial role in delivering the engineering digital transformation initiatives, ensuring the EMEA business unit remains at the forefront of technological advancements in the region. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of technology and engineering, production, coordination, and assurance processes. The successful candidate will work closely with our technology partners, digital delivery community of practices, IT, engineering systems, project managers, information managers, engineers, and other stakeholders in our engineering centres to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of the programme and its initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage assigned digital initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets and track progress against these benchmarks.
- Actively engage with the digital delivery community of practices (information management, BIM, GIS, and automation) to facilitate the successful implementation and adoption of digital standards, processes, systems, and tools.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops and communication channels (e.g. collaboration platform, newsletters etc) to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged on the programme
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies through the use of digital technologies.
- Develop and support the implementation of best practices for digital project delivery and operational efficiency.
- Provide training and support to staff on new digital tools and processes.
- Develop training materials and user guides to assist in the adoption of new technologies.
- Manage the collaboration platform to ensure the accurate and secure management of digital information and data outputs from initiatives.
- Continuously update and maintain the digital playbook, including standards, methods, procedures, and templates, for the digital delivery community of practices project implementation.
- Monitor and report on the performance of digital initiatives, using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess their effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates, presentations, and reports to senior management on the progress and impact of digital transformation efforts.
- Ensure all digital initiatives comply with the IS0 19650 standard and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the business unit remains at the cutting edge of digital innovation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all digital projects, including project plans, progress reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with digital initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation processes and information management standards (IS0 19650).
- Proficiency in common data environments and collaboration platforms.
- Proficient in a range of common data environments, collaboration platforms modelling, automation, design review, coordination and simulations applications, e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise, Civil 3D, Dynamo, Revizto, Synchro, Cost X, etc
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and advancements in digital engineering.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Middle East/Gulf Countries experience preferred but not essential.
