Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Contracts/Commercial Manager to join our Head Office team!
In this role you will get to play a role in the mobilization, execution and ongoing support for all our major projects and programs (construction, infrastructure and multi- packages).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide short term / long term cover for open positions on projects throughout the Region.
- Interact with Project Directors and Lead Commercial personnel to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Ensures that all team members apply company and / or project practices, techniques, processes and procedures.
- Update and revise company / project / program procedures in regard to commercial and technical requirements, development and compliance with best practices.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of contract processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems and procedures.
- Claims – help projects as required to evaluate and recommend claims, including the calculation of losses.
- Formulate strategies to resolve Contract and Commercial issues.
- Provide advice regarding contract procurement and types of underlying contracts and agreements (as necessary).
- Assist in the preparation of legal and contractual documents such as; Request for Proposals (RFP) and other legal or contractual documents.
- Support Procurement activities across the business.
- Collaborate with colleagues across organizational lines to obtain and communicate business information necessary for Reporting purposes.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject related to Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying preferred, Civil Engineering may be considered)
- Professional Membership (MRICS/RICS preferred)
- A minimum of 12-15 years of relevant post degree work experience.
- Procurement, Pre-Contract and Post Contract Commercial and Contract experience.
- Consultancy experience required (minimum 5 years).
- Recent experience in a commercial role, including managing of teams.
- Good at working on own initiative
- Ability to guide staff, critique and challenge objectively and with confidence.
- Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.

- Direct experience interfacing with executive management and clients.
- Willing to travel to work on projects for short / long term assignments (locations could be varied and in other countries)
