The Opportunity:
You will support the USSOUTHCOM Partner Integration Division's Interagency Coordination Branch in an operations engagement role and supporting the Branch Chief.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the division in its liaison with the US Interagency, public, and private Non-Federal Entities (NFEs), to include commercial industry, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), academia, international organizations, and other private entities in the U.S, and SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility, as required.
Coordinating key leader engagements with the US Interagency and NFEs both at the USSOUTHCOM headquarters and at other locations to include OCONUS.
Developing professional, mutually supporting relationships with USSOUTHCOM service components and USSOUTHCOM Staff to foster a strong sense of partnership and trust
Serving as the Division's action officer responsible for taking operations-related tasks.
Assisting with studies, reviews, and adjustment of strategies and concepts required for executing USSOUTHCOM's objectives for partnering with other USG Departments and Agencies; international, multinational, and non-governmental organizations; the private sector to include commercial industry, corporate social foundations, and academia.
Researching and drafting decision papers for the Directorate and other senior leaders on engagement opportunities and audiences. Developing talking points and speeches, as required, to ensure messaging is consistent with US policy.
Preparing briefings, presentations, and decision memoranda to support deliberations, decision, and testimony by senior leaders.
Disseminating information across the CCMD, to its mission and international partners, and to stakeholders.
Assisting with administrative tasks like travel, calendar upkeep, monitoring training status, and other routine requirements.
Supporting USSOUTHCOM's programs, projects, and policies involving US, International and Latin American/Caribbean partnerships, engagement, and collaborations.
Promoting collaboration and integration across the SOUTHCOM Enterprise to drive efficiencies and ensure the command is postured to achieve its priorities and objectives.
Monthly reporting on technical performance according to project parameters and against a set of government-established assessment criteria.
Qualifications:
Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.
A combination of more than 12 years' experience working in Operations; or with Interagency, NFE, and other partners;
The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Experience working in a Combatant Command or other strategic and/or operational headquarters.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
A current Tourist Passport with an expiration date more than 6 months away
Desired :
A 2/2/2 DLPT level in Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese; or native fluency
A Project Management Professional certification
A fundamental understanding of the Joint Planning Process and other military or government methodologies.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
