We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary DevSecOps Engineer Senior Principal who is self-motivated, a fast learner, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Position can be worked 100% remote within the US.
As a DevSecOps Engineer Principal at SAIC, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing continuous build/integration infrastructure, providing Source Control Management/Documentation, and creating/maintaining fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments. You will support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance, ensuring full automation of CI/testing processes. Additionally, you will support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and developer work, enabling successful release management. You will work closely with software developers, production support, and information security teams to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms. Your role will involve providing guidance and applying agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and ensure reliable operations. Continuously identifying opportunities to automate tasks and improve efficiency will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment.
Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
Provide Source Control Management/Documentation and create/maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.
Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
Support full automation of CI/testing.
Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and developer work.
Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
Collaborate closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations.
Continuously identify opportunities to automate and save time.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more of experience, or Master's and four (4) years or more of experience; will consider additional 4 years experience with a HS diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
US citizen required and must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Broad knowledge of Broad AWS/AWS Services.
AWS identity and Access Management (IAM) experience developing user roles and policies.
AWS Service Control Polices Experience.
Terraform/Terragrunt Experience.
Technical Experience:
Strong understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
General knowledge of other related disciplines.
Proven ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Demonstrated ability to work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions.
Experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Track record of contributing to the completion of specific programs and projects.
Specific experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Agile software development with Scrum or Kanban
Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence
CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or MS Azure
Cloud - Platform One
Cross Domain Solutions
C-ATO
Multi-Level Security Networks (MLS / MILS)
Containerization with Docker or Red Hat Podman
Container management with Kubernetes and Helm
Security automation with tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, Ansible, and/or Terraform
Software n-tier architectures
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
