Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently perform installation, maintenance, construction/fabrication, modification, assembly, repair, removal, sanding, finishing, glazing, etc. of facilities, cabinets, furniture, displays, stairs, interior doors, roofs, partitions/cubicles, walls, ceilings, stages, truck beds, magnetic boards, floor tiles, concrete forms, etc. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all roof types, including but not limited to shingle, built-up, concrete and metal. Work with wood, light metal, concrete and epoxy type materials. Pour and finish concrete screeding, including trawling and floating. Perform work in other classifications when incidental, but necessary to accomplish work assignment. Maintains compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA and Space Force laws, regulations and requirements, KSC/CCSFS energy management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security, safety, hurricane and other programs or IOMS contractual requirements. Maintain logs, records, charts, etc., as required. Maintain certifications, licenses, permits, etc., required for performance of assigned tasks.
May include managing hazardous materials or other environmental responsibilities. May be required to participate in preparation, ride-out, and recovery actions following natural disasters. May be asked to support hurricane preparation and recovery activities.
Perform work in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA and Space Force laws, regulations and requirements including energy management, conservation regulations, security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business of the section, working within the limits of established policy.

Educational/Training Requirements:
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Trade School, Military Training and/or apprenticeship program a plus.
Skill Requirements/Qualifications:
Requires seven (7) or more years' experience in industrial/commercial carpentry. Five (5) or more years of roofing experience preferred. Masonry experience a plus. Computer literate and proficient with MS Office applications required. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience desired. Valid FL Driver License required. Must currently possess or be able to obtain &maintain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
