Summary
Mission Technologies a division of HII is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Air Force's Combat Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (CAF DMO). The selected candidate must have knowledge in general systems administration and network architectures and experience supporting and maintaining medium to large scale ACAS implementations. Individual will work as part of the cybersecurity team. Work will be assigned based on available resources among the teammates, prioritization from the Air Force customer, and recurring deliverables based on contractual obligations and clearly assigned with deadlines.
This role is NOT eligible for remote or hybrid work and is executed on-site.
What you will do
Designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counterespionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Participate as a member of the cyber team as they plan, manage, and execute all RMF requirements for the CAF DMO. Duties include but are not limited to:
Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of ACAS operations and technologies.
Maintain and sustain ACAS Security Centers and Scanners using Government supplied hardware and software.
Upgrade Security Centers and Scanners to the most recent software versions as they are approved and released by the DISA ACAS Program.
Assist in security configuration/STIG validation of all operating systems and network devices.
Collaborate to ensure all systems are compliant and in scope of current accreditation.
Able to perform audits, operational analysis, and risk assessments.
Ensure data backups are occurring in accordance with the continuous monitoring policy.
Research operational issues and providing mitigation recommendations.
Review audit logs in Splunk to detect suspicious or unauthorized activity.
Assist in authoring and editing Cybersecurity related documents (e.g., ISA, SLA, CIE)
What you must have
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II.
Experience working with ACAS/ACAS Systems Administration.
Experience in systems administration in a Microsoft Windows or RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Requirements
Operating System certification (RedHat or Windows).
ACAS Operator and Supervisor Certificate.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
