Purpose and Scope
PSP is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Base Operations and Spaceport Services (BOSS) team, located at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Working in a team environment, you will provide Project Coordination primarily related to BOSS Shop support, Engineering support, and Inspection Services, to NASA managed projects. You will also support project proposal development and implementation, as well as invoicing for work completed. Projects range in multi-discipline complexity. The Project Coordinator will also support ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) estimates for BOSS support to NASA managed projects.
Job Duties and Essential Responsibilities
Lead Project Coordination activities in support of multi-discipline construction projects under minimal supervision Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, and within approved scope and budget. Manage construction support task orders from requirements development, through completion Actively participate in construction project planning, and requirements validation. Develop systemic means and methods processes to ensure accurate tracking and status validation of projects Prepare Task Plans and other reports and correspondence. Process task order revisions when required to address scope and schedule changes. Monitor Shop, Engineering and Inspection support, to confirm adherence to task order requirements, and use of proper charge numbers Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status. Develop, maintain and produce documentation in support of ROM and Task Plan efforts. Interface with customers in task plan reviews. Lead collaborative efforts with Customers. Support monthly invoicing for task order efforts. Update Project Management database and other systems as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors' Degree and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Experience in Project Management / Construction Support with infrastructure related focus. Good communications and analytical skills Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Experience with MS Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Powerpoint Experience with BOSS EWRS (Electronic Work Request System) preferred. May require some limited travel. May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain required Government clearances/badges as required by program and position
Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written in an effective manner.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk downs in support of design projects and system trouble shooting Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
