Lee County is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Senior Trades Worker specializing in Indoor Environmental Quality and Life Safety. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy self-starter who excels in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview : This advanced technical role involves conducting thorough investigations and inspections of reported incidents. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to perform under pressure, and a positive attitude, capable of both teamwork and independent work with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Vendor Supervision :Escort and supervise vendors and employees during life safety equipment inspections and repairs.
Environmental Inspections : Conduct indoor environmental assessments and preliminary technical testing, managing contaminant containment and remediation efforts.
Emergency Response : Be available for emergency response on a 24/7 rotating basis.
Water Mitigation : Perform water extraction and manage wet materials to prevent microbial growth.
Fire Safety Compliance : Test fire pumps and conduct periodic inspections of fire sprinklers and dampers in accordance with NFPA codes.
Property Maintenance : Ensure properties are well-maintained for fire officials' easy access and identification.
Documentation : Maintain thorough records and photo documentation of property loss for insurance purposes.
Reconstruction Tasks : Apply various materials for facility reconstruction, including drywall repair and flooring installation.
Safety Practices : Prioritize safety by identifying and addressing concerns in the field, including installing temporary safety barriers when necessary.
Education, Experience, Licensing
High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of relevant experience in Indoor Environmental Quality, Disaster Clean-Up, Structural Drying Techniques, Water Restoration, General Construction, or any other closely related field.
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass multiple background checks and obtain necessary security clearances.
Preferred: Certifications in Indoor Environmental Quality or disaster response, knowledge of HVAC systems, and experience handling hazardous materials.
