We have an outstanding career opportunity for aManufacturing Engineerto join a leading Company located in the Fort Lauderdale, FL surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production.
Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
Build prototypes, evaluate performance, identify issues, and make improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights and direction.
Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with engineering, and other departments regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering.
2-3 years of experience in engineering.
In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Hands-on experience building small prototypes.
Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads.
Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
