PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: R esponsible for identifying and assessing potential Government contract opportunities. Conduct market research, build relationships with Government agencies and teaming partners, and help shape the company's overall business development strategy.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grow and qualify the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter and intra company collaboration
Support development of growth plans to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Lead and participate in the identification, qualification, and pursuit of strategic business opportunities
Obtain market intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits and develop marketing strategies that maximize the value of that intelligence
Participate as a thought leader in bid decisions, gate reviews, and the development of cost strategies
Conduct customer visits and perform research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements
Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers across a diverse business portfolio
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 10 years of Senior leadership experience as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Naval Special Warfare (NSW), Special Operations Forces (SOF) or Intelligence Community supporting USSOCOM mission requirements
Bachelor's degree, or higher, in relevant business, technical, or professional field of study
Experience supporting interagency coordination, intelligence community, defense, or Government services, executing all aspects of business development
Experience in the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tools
A minimum of a Secret (S) clearance required; Top Secret (TS) preferred
Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders
Proven ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries
Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors
Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market
Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives, peers, and customers
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal working hours are usually eight and a half (8) hours (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM each Monday through Friday, or as otherwise as determined by the Government facility procedures. All Federal holidays are observed
Primary performance location is either our Virginia Beach, VA or Southern Pines, NC office
