STARTING RATE: $28.18/hr. ($28.18 - $33.38/hr., dependent upon experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
An LPN promotes the residents' health, wellness, and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. An LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and handles a diverse range of tasks, including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting the clinical data of patients, among other duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients
Working closely with others in a fast-paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager
Accountable for ensuring that competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents. This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with assisted living experience
Handles physician orders, administers medications, collects and maintains resident data, takes vitals, assists with resident comfort
Assure proper procedures are followed at all times
Communicate with residents and their families in an appropriate manner
Current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York required
Degree from an accredited school of nursing/nursing program is required
Current CPR certification required
Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
Strong customer service skills and compassion
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 18 years of age
New York State Licensed Practical Nurse licensure (LPN)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred
Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
