Location: The position requires working from NOLA. We anticipate the need for the candidate to be in the office 2-3 days per week and as needed when clients visit.
Job Summary: The Hospitality Shared Services Team has an immediate opening for a Team Lead .NET Developer. This position will be part of a large, distributed, and tightly-knit team dedicated to implementing, enhancing, and supporting the core services.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop RESTful web APIs using C# and .NET framework
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and software testers to understand the requirements and create technical designs
Creation and maintenance of Unit Tests.
Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoots and resolves defects and production issues.
Develops and applies software design processes in the investigation of technical problems.
Demonstrates comprehensive and advanced knowledge of modern technology.
Exercises independent judgment.
Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee large, complex projects, with responsibility for overseeing and directing team member's work.
Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions and decisions.
Decisions have moderate to significant impact on project team, project budget, department, work group, and/or client.
Be an excellent troubleshooter and problem-solver.
Lead by example; mentor and be mentored by others.
Actively participate in product feature and design discussions to help shape products.
Passion to learn and bring the best engineering practices to the team.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of professional experience in software development prior to lead experience preferred
Required Skills:
Extensive experience creating web APIs in C# and .NET framework
Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles
Experience implementing WCF services (REST and SOAP)
Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
Familiarity with distributed architectures & messaging systems
Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
Relocate to New Orleans and comfortable working with remote teams
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects.
Comfort working independently
Desired Skills:
Experience with ORM technologies, preferably NHibernate
Experience with Spring.net
Experience with .net performance monitoring & tuning
Experience with cloud-based technologies such as the Google cloud platform
Work Environment:
