Job Description Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Claim Examiner (amnuity) to join our team, specializing in death claims processing. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless claim process for our clients, handling every aspect of the claim life cycle with precision and care.
Essential Job Functions:
Claims Processing: Validate coverage, confirm beneficiaries, and review and decision inbound requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Correspond with agents, beneficiaries, and other departments regarding contracts, facilitating the receipt of outstanding requirements.
Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure transactions are processed accurately and within the timeframe considered suitable by SEC and Brighthouse Financial guidelines.
Fraud Detection: Report any potential fraudulent, money laundering, or unethical requests that have been reviewed.
Customer Service: Provide elite customer service via letters or phone calls made internally or externally.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer experience.
Support and Audits: Provide support for after-claim audits and assist on special projects as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years of relevant insurance business experience.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn servicing systems.
Strong understanding of the life and annuity industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of various policy types and their impact on claims.
Accounting knowledge is highly desirable.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Ability to start quickly and show passion for delivering on the promise.
Work Environment:
Remote Work: This position is fully remote. We will provide all necessary equipment, including a laptop, docking station, monitors, and headset.
Travel: No travel required.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $52,500 - $97,500.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
