Manage DC LAN.
Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, switches & Load balancers
Configuring routers and switches to maximize network efficiency and security
Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Arranging scheduled upgrades
Investigating faults in the network and Support other towers to restore the services within SLA
Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Reporting network status to the key stakeholders
Skills:
5 years' experience with Service Now ticketing system and meeting SLA requirements.
Layer2: VLAN, TRUNK, DOT1Q, ARP, Collision domain, cam table/mac address table, MAC address, L2 switching, VLAN ACL / Private VLAN, Dot1x(802.1x), DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP source guard, Port aggregation (LACP/PaGP), PortFast, BPDU Guard / Root Guard, Spanning-tree protocol, Multicast/Broadcast storm-guard, UDLD protocol / STP loop guard.
Layer3: Routing, Broadcast domain, NAT+PAT, IPv4/IPv6, First Hop Redundancy Protocols (VRRP/HSRP/GLBP), link-state and distance vector protocols, Summarization & route filtering, VRF / Routing Instance, Anycast / Unicast / Multicast, GRE and IPsec, Path MTU Discovery, MPLS, BGP, OSPF.
Nexus 2k/5k/7k/9k, Fabricpath, VPC, VPC+, EVPN, VxLan
Knowledge on F5 Loadbalancer, Palo Alto Firewall & AWS Cloud
The position is remote 80% of the time, based in the Chicago, IL area, and requires onsite presence 20% of the time at client sites in Chicago and Elk Grove Village, IL.
