ENSCO Inc. seeks a highly motivated and skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Santa Maria, CA. The successful candidate will primarily support the Western Range (WR) Launch and Test Range Systems (LTRS) ISSE team located at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), California. The Launch and Test Range Systems are critical components of space launch operations, encompassing a complex network of technologies used for tracking, telemetry, command, and control. This role demands a strong understanding of information systems security principles and practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment to ensure the security and integrity of these essential systems.
Responsibilities:
Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities for the WR LTRS Accreditation Boundaries.
Collaborate with the WR LTRS ISSE team and WR LTRS Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure the security and integrity of information systems supporting launch and test range operations
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and support security audits to identify and mitigate potential threats
Develop, implement, and maintain security plans, policies, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and government regulations
Evaluate and recommend security solutions, including hardware, software, and network configurations
Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, and proactively adapt security measures to address them
Participate in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs
Occasional travel to VSFB, as well as potential travel to Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB) and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Florida to provide on-site support and collaboration
