Job Description:
L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Navigation Solutions software development team. Successful candidates perform complex professional software engineering assignments requiring advanced problem solving skills.
Essential Functions:
Hands on embedded C/C++ development, including integrating and debugging on target hardware (typically 10+ years' experience)
Embedded software design, development, and test
Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in real-time development and architecture for GPS Receiver software
Qualifications:
Ability to obtain and hold a DoD SECRET clearance
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
5+ years of experience in working as a Team Lead, Technical Lead, and/or SME in fields of GPS/APNT
5+ years of software experience with GPS User Equipment
5+ years of experience in architecting, developing, and integrating real time embedded software for YMCA GPS User Equipment, including on target Hardware Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development methodology
5+ years of experience in working knowledge of signal selection, acquisition and tracking, Position, Velocity, and Time (PVT) calculation, data demodulation, signal correction, jamming and spoofing or related applications
10+ years of platform experience using Linux/Windows, C, GCC
5+ years of experience setting up and maintaining virtual machine environment
10+ years of experience with Python and C
5+ years of experience with Visual Studio C# development
5+ years of hands-on experience with the following tools
Jenkins
Jira
Crucible
Visual Studio
Code Bench
Perforce
Preferred Additional Skills:
Proficient in MS Office
Soft skills - communicating and working well with cross disciplines of h/w, systems, test)
Python and other scripting languages
Matlab
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $155,500 - $240,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
