Position Summary
LinQuest is seeking an Evolved Strategic Systems (ESS) Program Requirements Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility.
LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.
We provide acquisition, engineering, technical analysis and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the Space Systems Command (SSC). Our team also provides systems engineering and analysis services toward current and future system design, development, architecting, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support. As a member of our team, you'll work with Space Force personnel and system developers to ensure our program is a success.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force's Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force's acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and flowdown of requirements for a large space based processed communications system
Work with configuration management and technical SMEs/bookbosses in developing and tracking Change Proposals
Review proposed hardware/software implementations that would satisfy program requirements and providing feedback to the customer
Assist and review models and analysis in support of development and flowdown of requirements
Assess proposed baseline changes for impacts to requirements and verification. Supporting the customer with verification tracking to ensure the developer and source requirements are adequately verified
Ensure effective requirements integration across space and ground, hardware and software, and all other aspects of systems and organizations within the Enterprise
Integrate activities over the lifecycle of systems within the Enterprise including pre-contractual, development and production, as well as operations and sustainment
Interact with the prime contractor and government leads to ensure that all system requirements and interfaces are consistent and valid across the Enterprise
Develop acquisition and technical requirements-related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation in support of SMC decision making. Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force
Required Skills and Experience:
BS degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or network and telecommunications
3+ years' experience in systems engineering, integration, and/or test
2+ years' experience working on DoD programs
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools used to support requirements development and traceability
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Organization capability with ability to handle competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders
Capable in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Must have a minimum of an active SECRET clearance to be considered for this position
Preferred Skills and Experience:
2+ years' experience with space systems in space or ground segments
2+ years' experience in a space acquisitions environment
Experience in satellite hardware and software development
Professional certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, ASEP or PMP
MBSE certifications such as OCSMP
Agile, Scrum master certification

Compensation for California: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $100,000 to $125,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
