Position Summary
You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. You will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force's Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force's acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) to support development of technical baselines
Analyze system requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baseline
Work with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps in flow of customer requirements down thru the system and component levels
Lead and supporting Government/Contractor Working Group meetings-by creating briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes-to resolve risks, requirement gaps, and action items
Review proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concerns
Facilitate review of program documents by providing comments, compiling other reviewer comments, and working with contractor to adjudicate the comments.
Serve as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings to U.S. Air Force management
Support management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
BS degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or network and telecommunications
5+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering
4+ years with system specification, verification, or analysis
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools used to support requirements development and traceability
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Organization capability with ability to handle competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this position
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
Certifications in MBSE (OCSMP)
Certifications in Agile Development
Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence
Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs
Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
Experience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networks
Compensation for California: Starting salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications
Compensation for Colorado : Starting salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications
