Our Parsons Corporation San Diego office is now hiring for a Junior Civil Engineer to work with our wastewater treatment division. In this role you will have the opportunity to support construction and design work for the billion-dollar San Diego County Pure Water Projects!
Parsons has secured the role of Construction Manager for various treatment facilities associated with Phase 1 of the Pure Water Program

Pure Water San Diego is the City of San Diego's (City) phased, multi-year program that will provide nearly one-half of San Diego's water supply locally by 2035. The Pure Water Program will include a system of treatment facilities, pump stations and pipelines that will be constructed in multiple phases and will use proven technology to clean recycled water to produce safe, high-quality drinking water, provide a reliable, sustainable, water supply and will offer a cost-effective investment for San Diego's water needs. With San Diego's existing water system, only 8% of the wastewater leaving homes and businesses is recycled; the rest is treated and discharged into the ocean. The Pure Water Program transforms the City's water system into a complete water cycle that maximizes our use of water. The Pure Water Program is the largest integrated infrastructure program the City of San Diego has undertaken and will be the first reservoir augmentation project in California. Phase 1 of the Pure Water Program will cost $1.5 billion for planning, design, and construction. This position will be located in a field office in the Miramar area of San Diego.
Role:
Under general supervision, performs various fundamental technical tasks in support of various construction projects
Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Utilize software such as Bluebeam, primavera, and CADD to support activities.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
Logs (either manually or electronically), copies, and processes and distributes various project and /or engineering documents such as RFI, Submittals and Transmittals.
Maintains established files for project document retention.
Scans documents for electronic storage.
Logs (either manually or electronically) and routes interdisciplinary checks and supplier data.
Becomes familiar with the requisition process for assigned project, including preparation and approval.
Prepares standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Assists in project closeout activities, as needed.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management is required
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of CAD software and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is preferred.

Salary Range:
$61,200.00 - $107,100.00
