The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloudera CDP Private Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our on-premises Cloudera CDP Private Cloud Base clusters. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux systems and prior experience with Cloudera Manager. The administrator will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of the clusters, supporting our organization's data management and cloud infrastructure needs.
Responsibilities:
Install and configure Cloudera Manager to deploy and manage CDP Private Cloud Base clusters.
Monitor cluster health and performance, making adjustments as necessary to optimize operations.
Manage data storage solutions, understanding and implementing the best practices for HDFS, HBase, and Kudu.
Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure high availability and fault tolerance of the system.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the cluster, including misconfigurations and hardware or software failures.
Implement security measures, including Hadoop security using Kerberos, Apache Ranger, and Apache Atlas to safeguard data integrity and access.
Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance data access, discovery, and compute capabilities using tools such as Apache Hive, Impala, and Spark.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in big data technologies and cloud solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a systems administrator, with at least 1 year in a Cloudera environment.
Strong foundational knowledge in Linux systems administration.
Proficiency with Cloudera Manager and CDP Private Cloud Base installation and configuration.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be willing to work on site in Norco, California
Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance
Desired:
Certifications in Cloudera or other cloud and big data technologies.
Prior experience in managing large-scale data environments.
Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$63,300 - 129,700 USD
