Job Title: Flight Test Lead/Engineer
Location: Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA
Canvas is seeking a Flight Test Lead/Engineer to support the 719th Test Squadron on the TMAS II contract at Vandenberg SFB! This position is to provide assistance and advisory services to the DoD.
Duties:
Serve as site lead for 719th Vandenberg employees.
On-board and Off-board 719th Vandenberg personnel.
Coordinate integration and communication between Sentinel SPO, CTF, and Prime Contractor.
Coordinate with Range Safety personnel and integrate CTF planning and execution decisions.
Serve as primary POC in planning, collecting, analyzing, and transfer of test data while ensuring resources are allocated correctly for a successful test.
Assist with managing and coordinating testing roles and responsibilities within test plan teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; Master's degree desired.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; 6+ years of relevant experience desired.
Demonstrated expertise flight test methodologies test planning, and test conduct consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies.
Demonstrated skill in the following areas:
Management
Engineering
Range Safety
Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment and their projected use in the military, and methods of testing desired.
Knowledge of Vandenberg range requirements (Range Safety, 576 FLTS, Frequency clearance, etc) desired.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
