Axient is seeking a Configuration Management Lead to join our team in El Segundo, CA. We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the SATCOM Capability Integration office managing a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure. This position is full time on-site (no hybrid) but does have some scheduling flexibility.

The candidate will lead test efforts to ensure interoperability of multiple systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices in a multidisciplinary environment .
We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a collaborative work environment of small teams tackling the challenges of integration and transitioning complex communications systems to operations.
Skills you will need...
Required skills and experience:
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager ( CICM )
Expert knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and CDRL development process
The CM Lead will maintain data in 5 environments: TopVue, Livelink, Confluence and Jira, as well as the classified Lab and SIPRNet.
Knowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973 and MIL-HDBK-61
Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015-2-STD
Demonstrated leadership of configuration management team, including managerial and supervisory
Demonstrated technical leadership in defining, documenting, and instantiating the configuration management process for programs and projects, including recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office ? Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
10+ years of configuration management experience
5+ years' experience directly supporting DoD personnel on space programs
An active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
The following additional skills and experience will also be evaluated:
Familiarity with information technology (IT) and/or database management
Hands on experience administering DoD Acquisition Management
5+ years' experience with SATCOM systems, preferably MILSATCOM
Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance
