We have an exciting opportunity for an Integration Engineer in our MQ-1C Ground Control Station (GCS) group located in Poway, CA. This position will support hardware and software sustainment and development efforts for the MQ-1C Gray Eagle Universal Ground Control Station (UGCS). This position requires strong initiative, leadership, communication, and technical skills to successfully carry out the duties of an Integration Engineer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, this position will lead hardware and software design improvements for the UGCS that will result in field modifications and retrofitting efforts.
Work closely with internal program managers to lead engineering efforts to identify and resolve hardware/parts obsolescence of the UGCS. Interface with external sub-contractors and US Army customer to identify, acquire, and test replacement hardware/parts.
Work closely with the internal Army Software Engineering group and external sub-contractor company to identify, track, and manage the implementation of software change requests that apply to UGCS software releases.
Install, integrate, and test UGCS software build candidates in Hardware-in-the-Loop Lab and Software Integration Lab environments. Perform regression testing to ensure software changes maintain full functionality of existing UGCS capabilities.
Obtain in-depth subject matter expert (SME) knowledge of all UGCS technical areas to include but not limited to client-server architecture, VMWare ESXi hypervisor, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 operating system, Windows 10 operating system,
Using effective problem-solving skills, assess and understand emergent technical issues from the field and local lab locations then work with various engineering groups to determine root cause and develop corrective actions to resolve those issues.
Develop software installation procedures, test procedures, and configuration procedures.
Work alongside with the Systems Engineering and System, Test, and Qualification (ST&Q) functional teams to ensure software changes meets design requirements.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
This position typically requires a bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, two or more years of experience with a master's degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
Possessing Cisco, CompTIA Network+, A+, and/or Security+ certification(s) is a plus.
Must have working knowledge and experience with system/software development life cycle (SDLC).
Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills to successfully manage, facilitate, and communicate with various functional groups to conduct effective meetings, delegate appropriate taskings, and report status to upper management.
Must have an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work extended hours and/or travel if required to complete the assigned task.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance is required.
