Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Traffic Simulation Modeler to join our team. Traffic Simulation Modeler uses modeling software to simulate traffic scenarios and evaluate the impact of proposed changes on traffic flow and congestion.
What You'll Be Doing:
Model Development: Build, calibrate, and validate traffic simulation models using software like VISSIM, AIMSUN, or similar.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Use model outputs to identify traffic flow issues and propose solutions.
Collaboration with Engineers: Work closely with engineers to implement model findings in ITS designs.
Scenario Analysis: Run various traffic scenarios to assess impacts of new infrastructure or policy changes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in traffic simulation modeling.
Advanced knowledge of traffic simulation software and modeling principles.
