Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Event Traffic Management Specialist to join our team. Event Traffic Management Specialist plans and coordinates traffic management for special events, ensuring minimal disruption to regular traffic patterns.
What You'll Be Doing:
Event Traffic Planning: Develop traffic management plans for special events to ensure smooth and safe transportation flow.
Coordination with Event Stakeholders: Work closely with event organizers, local authorities, and transportation agencies to coordinate event-related traffic management efforts.
Traffic Control Setup: Oversee the setup of traffic control devices, such as barricades and directional signage, to manage traffic during events.
Public Communication: Provide information to the public and media regarding road closures, detours, and alternate routes for events.
Post-Event Review: Conduct post-event analysis to identify areas for improvement in traffic management strategies.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Event Management, or a related field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in traffic or event management.

Strong understanding of traffic control principles and event management.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
