Apogee is seeking a Joint Training Operations Planner in support of the United
States Space Command's (USSPACECOM) Operations Branch (J3) at
Peterson SFB, CO.
The USSPACECOM mission is to deter aggression and conflict, defend U.S. and
allied freedom of action, deliver space combat power for the
Joint/Combined force, and develop joint warfighters to advance U.S. and
allied interests in, from, and through the space domain.
USSPACECOM has multiple annual exercises, where contractor support is
required to meet 24/7 exercise operations to support the planning and
execution of Joint Staff and USSPACECOM exercises and war games. Planning is
in accordance with Joint Publication 5-0 and the Joint Planning Process.
Exercise execution may require travel and extended workdays up to 12-hour
shifts and weekends for a duration of 5-14 consecutive days.

What you will be doing:
Provide strategic analysis and contribute to USSPACECOM OPLAN development and
Campaign Order development
Provide subject matter expertise to the J3, Current Ops, and USSPACECOM
JOC in CCIR development and refresh based on a dynamic environment in the
space domain
Provide support to special projects for the USSPACECOM J3 that have a
strategic impact on the space domain
Provide support to the J3, Joint Fires Element (JFE) during specific
Tier I and Tabletop (TTX) Exercises
Provide operational subject matter expertise to the J35 Crisis Management Cell
(CMC) for real-world contingencies on behalf of the J3, JFE
Provide feedback for After Action Reviews / Lessons Learned and inclusion
into the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) following Joint
Staff and USSPACECOM exercises and war games
Provide support to J3, JFE Operations section by participating in the
USSPACECOM daily O&I briefing and weekly CUB, anticipate JFE future
requirements and taskings based on senior leader guidance
Support, and be prepared to lead, Operational Planning Team (OPT),
in support of Joint Staff and USSPACECOM exercises and wargames
Minimum Requirements
Citizenship: US Citizenship required
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI US security clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience in joint exercise
planning, developing training resources and material, maintaining logs of
training events and integration into the Joint Training System JTS,
supporting, engaging, and interacting with other departments to coordinate
training events for participants
Preferred Requirements
Clearance: Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
Certification: Joint Qualified
Education: Master's degree
Years of Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in joint exercise
planning, developing training resources and material, maintaining logs of
training events and integration into the Joint Training System JTS,
supporting, engaging, and interacting with other departments to coordinate
training events for participants
Compensation and Benefits:

The starting base pay for this position will be between
$110,000-$145,000. There is also a different range applicable for
specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary
depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities,
training, and education.
