Position Summary
The mission of the MEP technician is to provide 24/7 PME maintenance support to sustain 100% Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status and mission readiness to support ISR operations for the ATHENA-R Program. The MEP technician is responsible to configure and monitor the satellite hub operations to maintain connectivity and ensure continuous operational support. The MEP technician is responsible for ensuring 100% mission readiness for multiple ISR sensors to include but not limited to radar, ELINT, SIGINT, COMINT and BLoS systems. The MEP Technician must always ensure proper documentation of all aircraft PME maintenance and changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Utilize various electronic test equipment to include specialized electronic test sets, multi-meters, power meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, Test, Measurement, & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Assist in developing and executing FSR/operational requirements, coordinate installation and upgrade schedules, and provide technical support as required.
Conducts maintenance operations for various special mission systems in accordance with policies and procedures.
Regularly perform software, hardware, and network troubleshooting to identify concerns and provide resolution.
Installation, implementation, and configuration of mission systems.
Oversee all maintaining and training aspects of mission system projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, software, and hardware engineers, to achieve project milestones.
Communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and recommendations.
Participate in design reviews, integration testing, and system validation.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and partners as required.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior FSRs and team members.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Required Skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to review and understand schematics for troubleshooting and repair requirements.
Experience with Airborne ISR Operations.
Supervise and instruct personnel in mission systems operation, maintenance, repair, and test procedures.
Prepare mission and maintenance reports.
Understand system operation and employment tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to optimize system employment.
Experience in R&D and maintenance of electronic systems with embedded software and firmware
Experienced in determining the cause and location of malfunctions, diagnosing the extent of faults, and conveying the level of maintenance required.
Navigate through and understand the use of complex Army technical manuals and be able to follow logical procedures with regard for consequences in problem solving; making calculations; and interpreting schematics in the use of high voltage equipment as it pertains to multiple ground-to-ground communications systems and subsystems.
Provide support to the Management as needed.
Minimum years of related experience required: 5+ years.
Preferred Skills
Ability to multi-task at a high level in difficult conditions.
Experience with Microsoft Windows / Linux / VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintenance experience.
Proficiency with CAD software.
Preferred Experience, Certifications, and Education
Minimum level of education required is: High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor of Science in a technical field preferred)
Physical/Working Requirements
International travel to customer locations required.
Must be willing and able to work irregular hours.
Must be willing and able to work in a predominately military environment.
Travel Required: OCONUS 60/60 rotational deployments required possibly to austere locations.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Possess an Active U.S. DOD Top Secret security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly)
Must be able to obtain or maintain government eligibility requirements.
Meet DoD Theater Entry requirements.
Must have a valid US passport with no less than six months remaining.
Must be willing and able to deploy OCONUS.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD).
