The opportunity
Join our forward-thinking Technology team as a Manager in Business Product Management, where you will be responsible for the overall success of a product in terms of profitability and business value. You will play a pivotal role in developing the product vision and roadmap that drives the product development and delivery in addition to establishing the go-to-market, pricing and positioning strategies for the product. You will ensure new products and features being developed will be desirable, viable and functional for users.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex technical initiatives, focusing on quality and effective risk management. You will drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research and analysis. Your role will include:
Leading workstream delivery and tracking project status.
Managing engagement economics and resource planning.
Identifying opportunities for additional services and leading specific RFP responses.

Collaborate with product leaders and stakeholders to define product strategies by conducting user interviews, analysing market trends, evaluating market competitors, and identifying customer needs.
Lead product definition by taking market challenges and problem statements and translating business needs into technical requirements. Work with product leads, stakeholders, and architecture to perform product discovery activities, such as building a product roadmap, defining key product capabilities, building a backlog, and iterating based on market feedback.
Lead product build activities, by defining product roadmaps, building and managing the product backlog, and running agile sprint cadences in cross-functional teams.
Manage and train Product Analysts to perform product activities.
Gather and analyse user and market feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform product iterations.
Lead product launch activities by creating marketing materials, supporting go-to-market strategies, and supporting product pitch activities.
Define, track and monitor product performance metrics and create reports for stakeholders.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in product management.
Partner with the sales team to help communicate our strategic vision to our clients.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree) in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience as a product manager at a tech company
Have extensive experience in product management, from collaborative conceptualization to post-release management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrate technical acumen with experience in data services, APIs, and cloud-based solutions
Applies depth of expertise to guide others and interprets internal / external issues to recommend quality solutions.
Strong understanding of data platforms and their business applications.
Experience working with technical teams and understanding of software development process.
A strong desire to learn and work on progressive and ever-changing technology solutions.
Ideally, you'll also have
Have proven experience in product management building products from 0-1.
Insurance industry experience building technology products across Core Functions like - Underwriting, Re-insurance.
Experience building and managing product analysts.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira) a plus.
Experience in design thinking and service design.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $124,700 to $228,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $149,700 to $260,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
