Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to You will get to review and approve structural submittals from consultants, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local/international standards, and guidelines. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and act as a key liaison between consultants, contractors, and government stakeholders. In this role, you will manage risks related to design errors, delays, and compliance issues, ensuring smooth project progress. Additionally, you will oversee deliverables within the EPMO framework, integrating both PMO and technical functions to monitor quality, meet milestones, and ensure contract alignment. .
What You'll Be Doing:
Assess designs, calculations, and drawings from consultants for accuracy and compliance with local and international codes (e.g., ACI, IBC).
Identify design issues, omissions, and inconsistencies, and coordinate with consultants to implement corrective actions.
Facilitate alignment between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
Act as a key liaison between government entities, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth communication and timely deliverables.
Monitor engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with EPMO timelines, milestones, and quality expectations.
Participate in value engineering workshops to optimize design solutions while maintaining project objectives.
Identify potential risks in designs and consultant submittals, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
Ensure all deliverables align with contractual obligations and Mashroat white book guidelines.
Implement earned value management (EVM) to track engineering progress and deliverable completion.
Prepare technical reports on review outcomes and design compliance.
Maintain detailed records of submittals, approvals, and recommendations.
Provide monthly updates to EPMO management on engineering status and risks.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Professional certification (PMP, PE, or equivalent) is a plus.
17+ years of experience in structural engineering, focusing on design review and construction oversight.
Experience with large-scale infrastructure or government projects is a plus.
Experience in both PMO and PMC roles is preferred.
Proficient in structural software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
Arabic Speaker is a must.
