The Analysis Innovation Department within MITRE's Intelligence Center develops creative solutions to evolve complex, mission essential capabilities, bringing expertise in developing analytic solutions, data science, and workforce and business process maturation. We define, architect, design and prototype creative ways to integrate and fuse all-source intelligence and new sources of data to empower analysts and inform the programmatic and technical direction of new and existing programs.
The Department develops unique ways to receive and integrate all-source intelligence, increase sharing of tactical and strategic intelligence, support situational awareness and specific missions, better integrate intelligence and operations, and create products that are more useful customers that include the Combatant Command J2s.
The successful candidate will be passionate about working with the DIA's Missiles and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). MSIC is an all-source analysis organization known for excellence in focusing on analysis and assessment of foreign air and missiles defense systems, ballistic missiles, anti-tank guided missiles, anti-satellite missile systems, and directed energy weapons. Their assessments are used strategically and tactically giving the U.S. and our allied forces an advantage in all current and future conflicts. MSIC is also recognized as one of the leading organizations pushing for standardization and modernization of Intelligence Mission Data {IMD) solutions through the use of digital transformation approaches. The successful candidate will have experience developing enterprise solutions, familiarity with Intelligence, understand and communicate current capabilities and shortfalls, and design, develop and transition data capabilities to the customer's cloud based operational environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and may participate in some of the following activities:
Provide research in high technical areas to include cloud computing, information security, object management services, systems integration and interoperability, and system modernization practices
Develop and coordinate system migration planning and transition activities
Analyze identified security risks and coordinate the development of plan of action and milestone (POA&M) responses
Review and provide recommendations on improving system documentation
Coordinate IT infrastructure, system, and documentation configuration management activities
Provide recommendations on change management process and details
Use qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect and analyze data to find trends, themes, and similarities
Develop presentations that translate and communicate assessment findings to inform impactful decisions
Contribute to the development of products, such as concept of operations and analysis of alternatives
Research leading practices, methodologies, tools, and techniques
Engaging with DoD/IC operational stakeholders regularly, communicating sponsor and stakeholder objectives and needs, and building proper relationships to further the systems integration activities in both sponsor and stakeholder locations and projects
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related technical field
Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Active US Government TS/SCI clearance and willingness and ability to pass government polygraph
5 years of experience working with government sponsors
In-depth knowledge of Data Engineering and Management
Experience developing Cloud application architectures
Experience in defining and developing interface definitions, architecture, requirements and systems engineering/interoperability practices
Experienced in software systems lifecycle and delivery to operational environments
Ability to work in the classified DIA development environments
Able to work independently and as part of a larger team
Experience translating technical concepts to leadership, stakeholders and sponsors
Ability to work at the customer site
Ability to travel up to 10% time
This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.

TS/SCI with Poly
Cybersecurity compliance automation
Strong experience with Agile methodologies for software systems engineering, such as Scrum
Strong systems engineering consulting skills
Demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical skills
DIA and Combatant Command experience at the operational and analytic level
Knowledge of Intelligence Mission Data, for example, Military Equipment Parametric and Engineering Database (MEPED), the Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB), and the DoD Equipment Codes
Intelligence Community Analysis Tradecraft expertise
Experience with the DoD and Intelligence Community IT systems and security posture and regulations
Expert at IT infrastructure and application development
Experience interacting with senior government officials
Experience working in the Intelligence Community (IC), DIA, Targeting Community, and/or with Military Equipment characteristics and performance data
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
