Overview
i3 is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator to design and maintain DoD computer systems and networks with cyber concepts in mind to verify the DoD customers operating securely and that data is protected from both internal and external threats. Candidate will be responsible for working closely with end users to properly design the network for very specific software functionality needed (i.e., multicast, broadcast, etc.) Candidate will maintain system security status and ensures compliance to security policies, procedures and standards with regards to the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Common tools such as Cisco DNA center, Cisco ISE and DISA Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) will be used. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
Primary Objectives of the Sr. Network Administrator:
Design, implement, and maintain DoD network.
Designs and recommends security policies and procedures.
Monitors, evaluates, and maintains networks/systems according to DoD and industry security best practices.
Reviews network/system configurations to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Implement mitigations from ACAS scans.
Investigates security violations and recommends solutions.
Performs handling/tracking of COMSEC material.
Provides reports to internal and external customers in response to queries and requests.
Consults on tasks, provides leadership and guidance for others.
Gives recommendations for product upgrades, patches, and general security measures.
Design, implement and maintain Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Maintain and Troubleshoot Cisco Firepower appliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree and at least six (6) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
Must have 802.1X authentication protocol experience.
Must have Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Must have thorough RMF Framework knowledge.
Experience working with system/network vulnerability scanning tools required.
Experience with configuring and maintaining networking encryptors, TACLANEs and KGs.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintain DoD network in a multi-vendor environment.
Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) is a plus.
Must have active DoD Secret clearance and be able to maintain the level of clearance required.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
