Northrop Grumman Defensive Systems has a need for a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer on our test team who will help lead testing efforts for Electronic Warfare programs. In this role, you will be responsible for test planning and execution including hands on testing in full system labs and assisting with data analysis of test results. This position is located in Warner Robins, GA.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Develop and publish detailed test plans, test schedules, and test procedures.
Provide integration laboratory support for software release testing at local customer facilities.
Support planning working groups for and participate in live test events.
Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
Support test card development and review in collaboration with other engineering disciplines and test operations personnel.
Support test readiness reviews, and pre/post-test briefings.
Conduct and contributes to pre and post-test data analyses to support anomaly identification and resolution.
Maintain metrics on status of testing and constraints
**This position may be filled at either Systems Engineer or Principal Engineer level.
Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer :
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent STEM related degree
Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience with a B.S. or 0-1 years with a M.S. (Systems Engineer)
A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience with a B.S. or 3 years with a M.S. (Principal Systems Engineer)
System test, analysis, and/or integration experience
Strong understanding of system and test engineer concepts
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance is required
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience with a Bachelor of Science or STEM related degree. or 3 years with a M.S. (Principal Systems Engineer)
System test, analysis, and/or integration experience
Strong understanding of system and test engineer concepts
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with deriving system/software requirements and developing test plans and procedures
Experience with radar waveforms, Electronic Support (ES), and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) subsystems
Experience running RF lab test equipment, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and EW specific analysis tools
Experience with EW software, systems and testing
Experience testing software and/or systems
Software experience in Ada, C-type languages
Knowledgeable in Agile software development methodology
Experience leading test efforts and organizing test teams
Active Secret Security Clearance
Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900
Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
