PRIMARY FUNCTION
Electrical Engineer with demonstrated experience providing electrical system design and integration support for aviation platforms. This position will be based out of Huntsville, AL and will report to the Principal Systems Engineer for Yulista Solutions, LLC. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing electrical drawings, operational analyses, material and manpower requirements, and cost estimates for aviation equipment such as avionics, communications, radar, infrared equipment, lasers, navigation equipment and computer circuitry to obtain and record specified data. Employee may be expected to advise on limitation and capabilities of state-of-the-art equipment, proven and theoretical concepts, advantages, disadvantages, risks, compromises, and expectations with associated electrical system integrations in support of US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, USMC, SOCOM, and other government agencies in the areas of prototype integration, air launched effects, electronic warfare, and others as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with the lead project engineers, chief engineer, and engineering design teams to ensure that electrical systems meet the safety of flight needs and that the resulting product operates as intended.
Support the electrical integration of equipment and associated aircraft modification tasks.
Assist in the creating or modifying technical data packages electronic components for aviation weapons platforms.
Provide electrical engineering support of air launched effects integration and tests efforts and prototype integration facility integration efforts as required.
Develop the electrical design for ruggedized military processing solutions, including electromagnetic interference testing and platform system integration applying MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-462, and MIL-STD-708.
Develop electrical schematics and cable routing drawings for the installation of new RF counter measure systems, lasers, antennas, transmitters and radios.
Understand, utilize, and improve internal processes and tools for the development of new systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Non-supervisory; Individual contributor working under the direction of technical leadership.
Mentor junior electrical/electronics engineers, as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Highly self-motivated individual able to contribute to a positive work environment.
Experience working with electronic warfare systems on military aviation weapons platforms.
Working knowledge of MBSE/MOSA approached to weapon system design/integration.
Experience in presenting to end-user customers and clients in both written and verbal formats.
Working knowledge of tools such as Solid Works, CATIA, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to mentor junior engineers in their use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in design/integration of Aircraft electronics or five 5) years of relevant experience with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Previous experience with military or civil fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance (SECRET).
Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
