Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as an F-35 Field Service Engineer (FSE). The qualified candidate will provide technical support, maintenance, debug, software integration and general SIL support on-site atthe F-35 Reprogramming Labs located at Eglin AFB.
The primary responsibility of this full-time role will be to facilitate consistent and effective management of the Mission Data Development toolsets, while enabling and coordinating on-going toolset improvements. The toolset development programs are essential to ensure that their implementations are appropriate for the operational support of our BAE Systems Electronic Warfare System. The F-35 Field Engineer will also support the Test Equipment and PME associated with validating the Mission Data Files.
The Field Service Engineer must display strong interpersonal communication skills, work as a member of a dedicated team, build technical relationships with the MDF community, Government customer, contractors, BAE Systems Program Management as well as representing the company in a professional manner. Possess a strong ability to articulate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
Secondary responsibilities include:
Support to customers of BAE Systems Electronic Warfare Mission Data Tools providing technical coordination between Technical Interchange Meetings, Training Events and Integration Efforts.
Must be willing to travel to support customer requirements.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions.
Translates customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.
A qualified individual will closely interface with the customer, system operators, EW System Engineers and SW Tool Engineers in developing and maintaining MDF Toolsets.
Perform engineering tasks associated with EW mission planning support requirements.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Strong Organizational and or Intermediate Electronic Warfare (EW) Reprogramming experience (RF electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and fault isolation abilities, etc).
Candidates must be available to work extended hours during critical time periods
Experience independently providing technical assistance on classified systems with limited to no supervision.
Position requires excellent oral and written communications skills; strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with various types of test equipment and software packages.
Current (within 5 years) Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
Ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Current/previous SAP access and clearance
Strong understanding and use of Systems Engineering processes and procedures
Strong understanding and use of F35 Electronic Warfare Systems
In-depth knowledge in Air Force maintenance methodologies that support war-fighter operations.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130
