Job Description
The AN/USM-464A Field Engineer work location and assignment will be performed at Barksdale AFB, LA supporting the customers AN/USM-464A Organizational (on aircraft) Maintenance Level, and secondarily the Intermediate (Backshop) Level Electronic Warfare (EW) technical requirements. Perform AN/USM-464A engineering tasks associated with EW mission support requirements, functional analysis of EW system interface and on-board systems communications utilizing the USM-464A Tester and VME/1553/BIT technology. The Field Engineer will provide flight line assistance, troubleshooting, fault isolating and repair of B-52H Electronic Countermeasures Suites utilizing the AN/USM-464A. Work closely with Air Force technicians to identify opportunities to improve testing effectiveness to minimize aircraft and EW down time. Provide advice and assistance in the submission of Technical Order Improvements and Software Deficiency Reports related to AN/USM-464A aircraft testing associated TPIH and TPS. Provide training to Air Force Technicians and subcontractors on sub assembly, aircraft testing and system knowledge of the AN/USM-464A and associated TPIH and TPS. Applicant must possess a comprehensive knowledge in Electronic Warfare (EW) testability issues while providing engineering support to government personnel. Provide technical support of EW System Under Test (SUT) testability analysis and problem resolution. Requires an in-depth knowledge of SUT theory of operation and familiarity with how those systems are tested by the AN/USM-464A O and I level testers for the EW systems tested on the B52. Successful candidate will provide assistance and training in the intermediate level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance inspections required for the AN/USM-464A Countermeasures Test Set. Additionally, work closely with other contractors and act as a liaison with the 464A depot repair facility and BAE Systems USM-464A Program Engineering Staff to report and track status of Shop Replaceable Units required to maintain 464As at a fully mission capable status. Provide technical assistance in the repair and preventative maintenance inspections of the ALR-69, ALQ-172(V)2, and Test Program Interface Hardware. This position is categorized as a Local Hire No Field Premiums/Compensation or relocation provided for this assignment location. Candidate must possess a valid and active Secret Security Clearance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors and 2 year(s) related experience or High School and 4 year(s) related experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering or a related major or equivalent experience.
BSEE degree or equivalent technical experience.
USAF (Organizational On-Aircraft EW Experience
Current US Passport or qualified to obtain passport.

BSEE degree or equivalent technical experience.
USAF (Organizational On-Aircraft EW Experience
Current US Passport or qualified to obtain passport.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $61830 - $105120
