EWA, a Sigma Defense company, is seeking a Digital Signals Processing Engineer to provide support to our customer in Herndon, VA. The candidate selected for this role will work within the AI department on signals theory and application in data and machine-learning contexts. The DSP Engineer will have a balanced emphasis between theory and application across multiple lines of effort, and work with Information Scientists and Statisticians to produce algorithms and tools that apply ML techniques to signals problems, particularly novel signal assessment, sensor integration, sensor fusion, and wireless comms layers. The work opportunities include hardware, software, and theory, so a range of interests and tools are encouraged. The DSP Engineer will be part of the Research and Development team, so new ideas and creative thinking are a big part of the effort.
Electronic Warfare Associates (EWA) is a global company offering a wide variety of technology, products, and services in niche markets. EWA provides engineering products and services to government and commercial markets in cyber defense, radar development, intelligence, security, training, tactical mission planning, information management, and force protection. This position will support EWA Government Systems, an EWA subsidiary located in Mount Laurel, NJ. EWA Government Systems in Mount Laurel is a strategic office providing specialized radar systems for the Electronic Warfare defense sector and other areas of the DoD community.

Requirements
3-5 years of experience with a combination of research and application.
Proficient in a subset of Python, R, C/C+.
Proficiency with math and theory of digital signals.
Familiarity with software-defined radio hardware and software.
On-site reporting requirements once per quarter.
Personnel Clearance Level:
Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance.
A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering.
Master's Degree is a plus.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000 annually.

Creatively propose information-driven approaches to signals problems.
Creatively develop ways of applying software-defined radio.
Apply or develop proficiency in SDR software and/or hardware.
Creatively leverage low-end hardware to approximate high-end hardware.
