Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join our team to provide the United States Marine Corps advanced Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities! In this role you will get to perform Configuration Management processes and procedures within a SAFe® Agile construct to organize, document, analyze, and review requirements and work with leadership to understand the impacts of requirements and changes will have on system configuration.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Configuration Management Strategy: Establish program guidelines for CM best practices.
· Process Implementation: Define and execute the software configuration management process, ensuring adherence to USMC standards.
· Build and Deploy Management: Manage a complex build, deploy, and source control environment, automating build processes to increase operational efficiency and reduce human errors.
· Collaboration: Work closely with development teams and vendors to troubleshoot and quickly resolve build errors, and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure coordination between applications where shared configuration is required.
· Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and generate required monthly status reports, technical reports, progress reports, briefings, and demonstrations.
· Audits and Compliance: Perform CM audits as planned in application/project plans and report on CM status.
· Team Leadership: Mentor and lead development teams to produce clean, maintainable code that follows industry best practices.
· Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement continuous process improvements to maximize productivity and deliver high-quality releases into production.
· Release Management: Participate in the Release Management process in collaboration with the Project Manager and engineering leadership.
· Task Delegation: Establish configuration management tasks and delegate and track these tasks across project teams.
· Engaging with development and sustainment teams to implement and conduct testing, resolving problems, taking corrective action, and escalating when needed to resolve and achieve results.
· Prepares and ensures complete documentation is maintained
· Oversees management of configuration items, change control board, and lifecycle management
· Interface and coordinate with the Government CCB or other authoritative bodies to implement required configuration management processes and policies
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a configuration management role.
· Experience implementing ITIL Configuration Management and Release Management.
· Proficiency in using CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items.
· Strong understanding of build automation tools and scripting languages.
· Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or similar.
· Soft Skills:
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
– Leadership and team management abilities.
· US Citizen with ability to obtain and hold a Secret clearance
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
· Knowledge of Risk Management administration, organization of Risk Management meetings and liaising with the relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess risks and mitigations and drive their resolution
· Familiarity with Defensive Cyber Operations Concepts as it pertains to Configuration Management functions
· Working knowledge of SAFe® Agile framework and DevSecOps methodologies and tools
· Eligible for IAT Level II designation under DoD Directive 8570,8140 or successors

Salary Range:
