Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities
As a Manager in Supply Chain Management, you will lead an organization tasked with improving relationships, add credibility and value to internal and external customers. You will support the development and lead the strategic direction of the compliance functions and develop a robust plan in which these objectives will be achieved.
KeyResponsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the SCM Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the SCM organization.
Drive communication and execution of the strategic objectives of the business throughout the organization.
Ensure management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulatory requirements as outlined in the Management & Operations Contract and that company policies and procedures are being adhered to.
Monitor and report results of the compliance efforts of the SCM organization and provide guidance for the management team on matters relating to compliance, is authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g. Internal Audit, General Counsel) to address difficult legal and/or legal issues/concerns.
Work to evolve and implement the necessary operating system in all relevant areas including strategies, value propositions, staffing, and implementation.
Liaison between SCM and functional areas, collaborates with business partners, maintains a road map for SCM business and integration to the Site Mission for MSTS.
Use your expertise and acumen in Supply Chain Management to direct and drive cross-function teamwork to achieve key metrics.
Use your agility to balance business needs, aggressive timelines and functional goals.
Be a strategic leader by establishing team direction, schedules, and key objectives with a focus on driving excellence.
Develop and drive the execution of strategies for increased customer happiness, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and effectively introduce new processes for growth.
Proven ability to collaborate with functions with direct responsibility for overall business success.
Identify key areas of improvement to drive continuous progression in all business metrics. Evaluate the talent of the organization and make appropriate changes.
Drive culture change, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 11 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited college.
Eight (8) years of leadership experience in a Supply Chain Management environment.
Extensive supply chain operations management experience with a best-in-class organization.
Full experience in operations and Supply Chain Management.
Six Sigma Green-Belt Certification.
Previous DOE M&O compliance experience.
Ability to introduce significant metrics to assign ownership and accountability, and to allow immediate identification of process issues and correction.
Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment with a high degree of initiative and motivation with ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities, mediate conflict, and apply leadership concepts and techniques.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and lead others as well as organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively.
Ability to interact tactfully with all levels of management and customers and to work with stakeholders and team members at all levels of the business.
Deep understanding and experience in Forecast and Planning process. Understanding of lean, integrated supply chain principles.
Quick response and proactive mindset to drive results.
Ability to lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others.
A savvy and politically astute leader with the ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
Work will be conducted remotely. Some work at our Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada is required in support of these functions.
Work schedule is 5/8s or 9/80s, 7:00am - 4:30pm PT. Interviews for this position may be conducted remotely.
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in10 CFR Part 707.4 (http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=14b1c770db022992d237769fbe9fc519&mc=true&node=se10.4.707 14&rgn=div8) , "Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites," will be conducted. Annual salary range for this position is:$121,326.40 - $194,126.40.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
