Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Program Director - Monorail, to join our team!
Provides direction and management for every phase of a major project to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, corporate policies, and management of the contractors. Prior experience must include significant project experience and successful project management within a railway systems environment.
In this role, you will join a professional engineering, construction, and cost management team that is involved in multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a real estate development of approximately 850,000 sqm of office space, 115,000 GLA of retail, 1,200 residential units, 5-star Hotels, and 600 hospitality keys. KAFD is set to be the main enabler of the KSA 2030 vision.
This position involves working inside the PMCM team, leading and managing contracts for the client.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Leads, plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all aspects and functions of the assigned project.
- Responsible for the overall delivery of the project
- Is a key representative with the client, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders during the program execution.
- Establishes the program with the contractors and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
- Promotes technical excellence in the program, including furthering the Quality Improvement Process.
- Requests extra resources when required through effective liaison with support departments to ensure the project team can complete effective and quality work.
- Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after carefully assessing how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
- Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions affecting project cost or schedule.
- Works with the program team and client to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays or accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and program management of any such changes.
- May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
- Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents for hazardous waste work.
- Complete other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
What You'll Need;
- A Degree in Engineering or a related field and 20 years of experience delivering railway projects within large international engineering and construction firms are desirable
- Experience in delivering rail projects in the region
- Requires comprehensive knowledge of delivering rail projects, including brownfield and multi-stakeholder projects.
- Must possess team leadership experience and the ability to lead and manage contractors and consultants.
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with project management. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
