Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented GIS Subject Specialist to join our team! As a GIS Specialist, you will assist and support our client in delivery of a large-scale master planned public realm design within the heart of Riyadh city center. You will be knowledgeable in the planning, setup and operation of cloud based GIS platforms for building and infrastructure. A full understanding of using market leading GIS software and International Standards is required.
What You'll Be Doing:
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for GIS within the Program, providing guidance and expertise on all GIS-related matters within the client side organization.
Lead the development and implementation of GIS strategies, standards, and best practices to support organizational objectives.
Design and manage geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.
Conduct spatial analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes and solve complex spatial problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS into various projects and workflows.
Provide training and technical support to end-users on GIS software, tools, and methodologies.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in GIS and recommend innovative solutions to enhance GIS capabilities.
Liaise with external stakeholders and represent the organization in GIS-related forums and working groups.
Contribute to the development of GIS policies, procedures, and documentation.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Expertise in GIS software and tools, particularly Esri ArcGIS suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and visualize spatial data effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in leading GIS projects and teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Knowledge of spatial data infrastructure (SDI) concepts and implementation is a plus.
Experience working in sectors such as urban planning, environmental management, transportation, or utilities is advantageous.
