Requirements
Candidates for the Software Systems Engineer position should have a strong background in engineering, computer science, physics, and/or mathematics combined with strong programing skills.
Bachelors or advanced degree in an Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science program
Programming familiarity in C++, MATLAB, or Python
Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
Able to work independently on projects toward common team goals
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Desired areas of experience:
Artificial Intelligence: Course, project, and professional experience with Deep Reinforcement Learning (RL)
Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering Principles (e.g. Software Defined Radios, Radar systems, Antenna Design, Electronic Warfare)
Estimation Theory: Tracking, Fusion, Correlation methods (e.g. Bayes Theory, Kalman Filters, particle filters)
Software: Docker, Kubernetes
Simulations: AFSIM, NGTS
The pay range for the Software Systems Engineer position is $85,000 to $170,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidates education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
