Work closely with Software, Hardware, and Application Architects, and Solution Architects throughout the software development cycle. They are responsible for the creation or modification of all new applications and security procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the business analyst and business leaders to understand the application data requirements.
- Research and properly evaluate sources of information to support business and application data needs.
- Prepare accurate database design and architecture models.
- Oversee and guide the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Recommend solutions to support Enterprise Data Management Program.
- Develop data strategy and management documentation, including, but not limited to data strategy plan, data migration plan, and enterprise architecture roadmaps, etc.
- Develop technical documentation to include, but not limited to database design document, data models, and data dictionaries,
- Work with business data stewards to define Data Glossaries
- Compare and analyze to identify patterns, relationships and problems impacting data within and across multiple applications.
- Analyze legacy application data, understand business requirements and develop future-state data architectures.
- Participate in teams to evaluate new applications from a data perspective.
- Create and maintain data standards.
- Conduct data analysis to determine data availability and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field. Or substitute an equivalent amount of experience.
- At least five (5) years of related experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as Data Architect.
- Knowledge or experience of data frameworks.
- Experience with Migration to Cloud.
- Experience with Data discovery, tagging, indexing.
- Able to compile and organize information and present findings to management.
- Experience working with private and sensitive personal information.
- Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software.
- Experience in disparate date environment such as with SharePoint resolutions.
- Interpersonal and customer service skills are required when meeting with and interviewing business and technical team members.
- Knowledge of Data Modeling tools such as ERWin or ER Studio.

- This position supports a federal government agency that requires a Background Investigation. The candidate must be able to clear a Public Trust clearance as well in order to commence work. That requires living in the United States for the past three years.
